Solo experience
Elodie Simonis is a soprano and has appeared in opera acts and scenes as Despina in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, Meg Page in Nicolai's The Merry Wives of Windsor, Elisetta in Cimarosa's Il Matrimonio Segreto and Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel in Boston and Washington DC and in summer programs around the United States of America. She also performed both the Second Lady and Second Spirit from the Zauberflote with the Weimar Opera Studio in Germany.
​A citizen of Belgium, she has appeared there on stage in many occasions in both private and public recitals.
She is now based in London where she performs in various settings. The latest performance was at the Embassy of France for a Christmas gala.
Elodie Simonis holds a Master degree in voice performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College.
Choir experience
As a proud member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, Elodie Simonis has had the privilege to be conducted by famous conductors such as Maazaki Suzuki, Bernard Haitink, Charles Dutoit or Andris Nelson while singing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Elodie has been a member of other choirs in Belgium such as Carpe Cantorem and the Brussels Chamber Orchestra.
In London, Elodie has launched her own choir and is now the Director of the Bilingual Choir in South West London.
Teaching experience
During all her career in voice, Elodie Simonis has thought privately in her studio called Elodie Voice Studio. She has had the incredible chance to build strong and durable relationship with all of her students. She teaches all types of repertoire and adapts to the students styles and objectives.
In London, Elodie has taught more than 500 hours of private lessons. She prepares pupils for the ABRSM and Trinity exams and for auditions.
She undergo a training in the Kodaly methodology as she is convinced this methodology brings a original and convincing approach to the way we teach music in school. She now teaches musicianship classes at the London Youth Conservatoire in Parsons Green.​
She now has a Certificate for Professional Practice for Primary Years from the British Kodaly Academy.
